It is my and my husbands first trip to Hokadate, a close friend recommended we eat here. We were expecting good food but what we got was absolutely one of the best meals each of us has ever had. The staff was kind and understanding and even with a language barrier we had a fun and joyful night. It was a set menu which each of us felt was great, so we could try new things that we may never have picked for ourselves. If we ever return we will absolutely have to stop and have a dinner here.

There's probably no one in Hakodate who doesn't know... Atmosphere, gentle taste, Chef Fukaya's personality This is a store you can't miss when you come to Hakodate. No customers making reservations at 18:00, many reservations from 19:00 So I memorized the explanation of the prosciutto at each table...lol "This year marks 38 years since I started making raw ham..." Next time I'd like to try the paella and a la carte!

✰ Restaurant Basque As I said in a previous review, I love San Sebastian, and I had a great time talking about it with the chef along with the posted photos. In fact, I was looking forward to this the most and had made reservations in advance. As expected, as the chef said, it is not a modern Basque restaurant that has traditional Basque cuisine and is not as unique as El Bulli. We were served and explained the pintxos platter, cut out the prosciutto and served it directly, and we talked about San Sebastian and Txakoli, a wood-fired restaurant somewhere between Bilbao and the sea, and Basque-style charcoal-grilled seafood along the coast in Portugal. I haven't been to this place, but I feel like there are endless stories about restaurants that look like rustic beach houses, and it gets in the way of my work. The raw ham is aged for 24 months and is hung throughout the store. In addition, the sea urchin has a sweet taste due to overwintering, and the detailed explanations made me feel an endless love for Basque Country. In addition to the ordered lunch courses, we also showed you the dinner menu, wine list, etc., and posted photos for your reference. I choose the main dish for the lunch course I order, but I wonder if it's bacarau's pil pil? I wonder if it's the original dried salted cod? I decided against it because it's hardly imported, so I chose squid ink for the squid. Of course, I think it's gourmet food, but when I was wondering about the live squid in Hakodate, I was wondering about the sashimi, but I was told that I could also choose another lunch course using only pork gelatin, which is unique to the Basque region. I did. It was really delicious. The tomato-based sauce has a hint of pork stock in it, and it's a perfect solution! It was a very satisfying visit. Also, this was the only case in Hakodate where Tom Ford's floral patterned pants were very well received by madams and their unique fashion was praised. ✰ Morning Market Donburi Yokocho Sushi Sensho While I was wandering around Donburi Yokocho in the morning market, I came across a sushi restaurant that caught my attention and rushed in before my flight home. Hakodate Airport doesn't have a lot of shops, so it was a last minute rush to make it a huge success. First of all, I ordered the sea urchin caviar topped with sea urchin caviar, the sea urchin and live squid platter, and the sashimi platter, all of which are picturesque. Don't underestimate this sushi restaurant as it's just a small counter in a side street! It's definitely a famous restaurant. I saw it as a counter-only operation since the general manager could manage it alone. In fact, there were two empty seats for me and two other customers, but we were turned away by a new customer who came in, saying they were full. In addition, we had kinki, salmon roe, toxirazu, and surf clams. It was a last-minute rush as I entered the store just as it opened at 5 p.m. and left 5 minutes before the 5:50 bus to the airport with plenty of time to spare. This is a cash-on service, so please withdraw your money. This time, I told them that I would take it slow and leave it to them with more snacks, and left the restaurant, but on the bus on the way home, I realized something contradictory: Oh, I'm not coming to Hakodate again. excuse me. ✰ Horan of Hakodate Ramen When I went to Juyoken, which is at the top of the rankings (perhaps it's a similar trend to the closed Seiryuken?), the person at the end of the store told me that the store was closed today because the homemade noodles were sold out, so I guess I had a good nose for it as I wandered around last night. I visited this place and it was a great success. Come to think of it, there were a bunch of taxi drivers who weren't waiting for customers. So, I got the wonton noodles with salt, and ordered take-out fried rice and half fried pork. Unlike Juyoken, which is crowded with tourists, it is a hidden local famous restaurant. When I entered, it was around 2pm, so there were not many customers, but by the time I got to the checkout, I realized that the place was full. I thought it was a famous store because there was a colored paper with a signature. I thought so too. We received take-out fried rice and fried chicken at the hotel along with the sea urchin, suji roe, and salted fish that we bought as souvenirs, and they were also quite good. I've never been there, so I have a vague opinion, but I think it's a more comfortable restaurant than Juyoken. It's hard to decide which is better: homemade noodles or purchasing from a noodle factory. I'm sure this is me! I have also attached a photo of the queue at Juyoken. ✰ I didn't eat anything, but Kuromon Yokocho etc. ⦿ Sea urchin specialty store Seichiya Hakodate Asaichi store It was a shop that caught my attention every time I passed by a rice ball shop that featured five major types of sea urchin, including purple sea urchin, bafun sea urchin, and sea urchin from different regions. On the last day, after sightseeing in Motomachi, I took the streetcar back to Hakodate Station, grabbed a rice ball, picked up my bag at the hotel, had a light meal at a sushi restaurant, and then rushed to the bus to the airport. When I opened the door, I was told that it was over and that I would like to come again. Gah. this is Hakodate, this is morning market. It's too early to close, duh. If you have free time, you can adjust your time by searching Ad Street Good Girls in the station premises etc. Hakodate is a bad match. ⦿ Kaiju This is Kato Shoten, and I was told that Kaiju is the place to go for fresh fish in Hakodate, but somehow I didn't have time so I decided to skip it. I don't have the stomach capacity to leave everything to Hakodate, so it's not far enough to take the streetcar, and I feel lonely walking for about 7 minutes just to have dinner. I ate dinner with fried rice, fried chicken, souvenir sea urchin, suji roe, and salted fish while watching The Last Man, then relaxed in the open-air bath on the top floor and went to bed for tonight. I thought that the seafood plan I found on the last day would be good, but as I mentioned above, Seichiya was open after closing, which really doesn't suit Hakodate. ⦿ Yugyosen and bonus bar 178 On the first day in Hakodate, I found a seafood-focused izakaya while wandering around 11am. I was particularly drawn to the hakkaku sashimi, but since it was my first day there, I wandered around, and after dinner, I prioritized interacting with Rocco, so I went to Bar 178, which was next to Bar 178, which offered all-you-can-sing for 30 minutes for 1,000 yen. , I left the place early after 30 minutes because of the performance style and customer base, and while I was looking around at the aforementioned Horan etc., when I returned, it was closing at exactly 12:00. It really doesn't go well together. I caught the antenna, but I haven't actually eaten it, so I'll leave it to other people's reviews. ⦿ Seafood Izakaya Umigaki Main Branch I just took this photo to send a DM to my Instagram friend Oyster Girl Chie. ⦿ Kuromon Yokocho It looked delicious, but unlike Goro-san, I only had one stomach, so I just took a photo.

A relatively large restaurant located in a residential area. The approach to the entrance feels like you're in a foreign country. The store also has an authentic atmosphere. The cuisine is mainly course meals for lunch and dinner, but there is also some a la carte options. However, it seems best to enjoy this place based on the course. All of the dishes were clearly prepared with care. All of them have a relatively light taste and are easy to eat even for Japanese people. I don't know if this is the original version or if it's an easy-to-eat version, but I'm sure it was delicious. I thought it was a very conscientious store. Next time, I would like to come more slowly and enjoy a course with many dishes.

I went there again this year after the Hakodate Marathon. It was delicious~ You can’t go wrong 💖 This was the most delicious restaurant I've ever been to! The homemade prosciutto cut by the chef himself is exquisite! The best!
