The food was delicious however the head chef was SO rude to us. But the rest of the staff at the restaurant were fantastic. The head chef didn’t even acknowledge us at all when leaving the restaurant, only wanting to speak to a “sensei” doctor sitting next to us. The chef in the red glasses also didn’t care much about us only smiling at the “sensei”. Maybe it’s because we were speaking English even though we are Japanese. Not that it should matter. The most kind people there were the man washing the dishes collecting our plates and the female waitress. She was the only one to acknowledge us when we left. Very disappointing experience. It ruined the whole thing. It’s such a shame the food is so delicious and to pay so much money for such terrible service by the head chef. I’m sure there are plenty more restaurants out there with the same quality food, with much better hospitality and service.

[This is a long post] To be honest, it was disappointing. 24.Used at the end of December. Posted on 24.12.31 (edited) It seems that the course contents may be completely different or the number of items may be small, so it changes depending on the day, so if you do not check the contents the day before your visit, you will be disappointed in a negative way. Did the people who gave high reviews just happened to go at a good time, or did we just have a bad time? It seems that the timing of your visit is important. As a result, we were left dissatisfied with the food and service. At first glance, it is at the level of refusing customers, and they are strict with new customers. Unless you become a regular customer, you may not even be able to receive decent service. Isn't the customer service at the level of a popular pub? Is it because the training of the staff has not kept up? They made me hang up my coat myself, and they didn't bring me a baggage case. At that time, the staff member did not move an inch from behind the counter, and after I asked, he only said, ``You can hang your (coat) up there, or you can use the baggage compartment.'' (Female staff) The store owner just said, "I'll hang it!" and didn't respond. I came to the store at 17:30 and it wasn't supposed to be relatively busy, but I'm disappointed that the store doesn't even take that kind of consideration. Since the owner is at that level, the staff is also of low quality. Is it a pub around there? The female staff members do a lot of nail work, and there is no customer service. There was no soup, not even Chinese cabbage kimchi, and no curry either. I understand that the contents change depending on the arrival status, and it was mentioned in the special notes, but the number of items was smaller than I expected, and this is the first time I have left the store feeling so hungry. The stay was about 1 hour. The actual meal content is probably somewhere between the short course (5000 yen) and the omakase course (8000 yen). The owner said that he calculates the cost based on the arrival status of the day and offers dishes that match the course. Later, I called the store to ask if there had been a mistake in the course content. The store owner's response was, ``The course contents listed are from when the store first opened, and we have reduced the number of items due to requests from regular customers for a large number of items.The contents also change depending on the day, so the 11,000 course contents provided to Mr. 〇〇 There's nothing wrong with that, and that's correct." If so, don't you have to change the posted menu? I made the reservation expecting that, so if almost half of the contents are different, shouldn't I contact them at the time of reservation or the day before? Today's soup dish → I said, ``I'm changing it to Cajun.'' In that case, wouldn't it be better to stop calling it today's soup dish? Is rib roast a substitute for Chateaubriand? Have you checked the unit price market? Although there is clearly a difference in price, the answer is, ``We calculate the cost and adjust the amount.'' This must be a mistake in the calculation of lowering costs and collecting profits from new customers. I was shocked to find that none of this restaurant's featured menu items, ``Chateaubriand'', ``Rice in a clay pot'', or ``Rich curry'', were available. It's definitely a scam. I was looking forward to going to a delicious restaurant for the last time this year, so I felt very disappointed. I didn't want to carry this feeling over until next year, so I thought I'd finish by posting it here. I decided to use this restaurant because it was introduced as a special offer by my credit card company, the price was reasonable for a meat dish, and the reviews were very good. The result is correct! All the meat that was grilled and served in front of me was delicious (albeit in small portions), the internal organs didn't taste too bad, and the recommended beer and wine went well with the food. The Kumamoto-grown rice at the end was so delicious that the two of us ate it all. The dessert of figs, pears, and Tsurunoko manju was also good, although it was an unusual combination. I didn't look at the menu and asked for additional drinks during the meal, but when I saw the bill, it was cheaper than I expected, and although I don't know the details, I think it was very reasonable. The only thing I was disappointed about was that they didn't have curry on the menu this time (my curry-loving companion was looking forward to it after reading the website and reviews). I would definitely like to try the curry when I visit again! (Will my request go through?)

16.01.2025 A group of 3 people enjoyed dinner for 11,000 Yen. The service and environment were good. The staff would grill the meat for the guests. The meat was always fresh from Japanese Wagyu beef. The other dishes were not special. The last dessert was just average.
